Crowdfunding for Koha Online Purchase Suggesion

Dear all/Koha users,

Contribution Closed Since Target Achieved

As you know at present by default all the category of patrons can either place purchase suggestions or not via opac but many educational institutes only allow purchase suggestion by the faculty or some specific category of users. Similarly in public and other libraries children’s may not be allowed for purchase suggestions or lower level of non technical/teaching staffs in special libraries. Hence this restriction is very much needed which is applicable for all libraries globally. As per discussion and email one of the leading Koha supporter/Developer L2C2 from India (http://www.l2c2.co.in/) is ready to develop the said feature and the charge would be only Rs. 20000/- (Approx USD 280). Hence i am ready to pay Rs. 5000 and expecting some more contributors with a minimum of Rs. 1000. Kindly give your details through google form if you are willing to be part of this voluntary support.

Further as per email by L2C2 following points may be noted:

1. The co-sponsors names would be including in the text for release notes and also in the bugzilla report.
2. Also, it is not possible to give any definitive time line by which time the code would be accepted into Koha. If it runs into a blocker bug, it may take time, sometimes up to a couple of years. However, it being Feb 2018 now, if the funding can be completed within the next 10 days, chances are that the feature may be included in the
   next release i.e. 18.05 in May.2018.
3. On production of payment proof of more than Rs. 5000 receipt will be send by speed post.
